rocksho
keeping track of your favorite bands and musicians isn't easy. of course, if you love steely dan, nothing but steely dan and will never love anyone but steely dan, it's easy. but for people like us, people who love their music and want to be turned on to new music, it's been difficult. and let's not kid ourselves; the older you get, the less time you have to spend looking for it. guess what happens next? you turn into your dad. and he loves him some steely dan.
in the past, our only solution was to subscribe to mailing lists, join fan clubs, spend hours tracking music blogs and hope we found out about a show before it was reviewed in rolling stone. we caught a lot of great shows this way, but we missed even more. we were tired of it.
to fix the problem, we built rocksho. we built it for you. how do we know what you want? easy; we're in the same boat, and we know what we want - a quick, easy way to get all the information about our favorite artists as well as a chance to discover new music without having to spend all day on some massive music site searching for it.
that's just what rocksho does. we aggregate, filter and deliver personalized, up-to-the-minute concert and news information about your favorite artists. you expect what the internet promised us the day al gore invented it - limitless information in a convenient fashion. and you should expect this. but no one has delivered on this promise in the realm of music. no one until rocksho.
rocksho's objective is to become the premier music information destination and marketplace on the internet. our goal is to provide you with a simplified, personalized platform to access all of your music information and purchasing needs. as we grow, we view ourselves as a virtual marketplace, where community members gather to learn about concerts and new music, meet and have discussions with friends and have quick and easy access to retailers both within, and associated with, the music industry. we intend to make rocksho the first – and final – destination on the internet for both music lovers and casual listeners.
no more finding out about big-name concerts after the brokers have bought all the tickets and raised prices to exorbitant amounts. no more completely missing smaller-name concerts. no more completely missing soon-to-be-big artists when they were small and were playing a show in your own backyard. no more relying on antiquated ways of discovering new music. you don't even have to search for it anymore. we bring it to you. we're here to help. stick with us and you'll always be in the know.
fo sho.
